WIN THIS MACALLAN HARMONY 5 PHOENIX HONEY ORCHID TEA!
The fifth release in Macallan’s annual Harmony series that celebrates distillery’s links to nature. This bottling was made in collaboration with JING tea, with the flavour profile inspired by their ‘Phoenix Honey Orchid’, an oolong tea from Guangdong province, China.
Mostly matured in sherry seasoned American oak casks, sherry seasoned European oak and a small number of bourbon casks were also used to create Harmony V. In line with previous releases utilising organic waste, tea leaves deemed unsuitable for consumption have been incorporated into the display box.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – Summery peach and apricot with the heady sweetness of floral honey all intertwined with tropical fruits, toffee and sweet oak.
Palate – Fresh peaches in rich syrup, warm citrus and toffee, light floral notes leading to a delicate leafy astringency.
Finish – Fruity, sweet and complex.
