After 21 years in oak, Glenfiddich gains lots of flavour and complexity, which are enhanced further by being finished for 4 months in casks that previously contained Caribean rum. Wonderfully fruity and full. A real treat of a dram.
TCC Tasting Notes
Nose – Pineapples in syrup, lots of other tropical fruits create a rounded sweetness. Furniture polish underlies the fruity nose.
Palate – Lots more tropical fruit here. Rich mouthfeel with a slight spiciness . Rum cask influence is apparent without being overwhelming.
Finish – Surprisingly long considering the 40% ABV.
Comments – The rum cask finish compliments this well aged whisky nicely, creating a mature but accessible spirit.

Nose – Floral, banana, figs, rich toffee, new leather, oak and vanilla sweetness.
Palate – Lime, ginger, soft fruits, changing in to peppery notes, a dash of smoke and more spices.
