Glaschu Spirits Co. (First 3 Single Cask Releases)

Blair Atholl 7 Year Old

This is the inaugural release by new, Glasgow-based independent bottler, The Spirit of Glaschu. – scots Gaelic for Glasgow

It’s a 7 year old, single cask Blair Athol that’s been matured for 6 and a bit years in an ex-bourbon barrel and then finished for the remaining months in a Jamaican rum barrel…

Bottled at 53% ABV, natural colour, non-chill filtered and carefully labelled by hand, it’s light, tropical and tangfastically tasty.

Tullibardine 7 Year Old – Bordeaux Red Wine Cask

The successor to ‘The Spirit of Glaschu’, this is the latest release by Glasgow-based independent bottler, Glaschu Spirits Co.

It’s a 7 year old, single cask, Tullibardine that’s been fully matured in a first-fill Saint Emilion Barrique – a red wine from the Bordeaux region in France.

It’s a deep red hue with a rich red wine nose and complex layers of fruity goodness, a perfect dram for the festive season!

Glengoyne 11 Year Old – PX Quarter Cask Finish

The third release by Glaschu Spirits Co, an un-named highland spirit… what ever could it be? 🤔

Thankfully, we know exactly where it’s been distilled, right at the border of the Scottish highland and lowland whisky regions – Glengoyne Distillery!

It’s an 11 year old (almost 12 actually, but we’re a bit impatient) ex-bourbon single cask, that we split into two first-fill Pedro Ximénez quarter casks.

We let those two quarters ripen for a whole 8 months before vatting them back together for this release. The colour change from start to finish has been incredible, the flavour transformation even more so!
